EXPO RICHMOND 2012

EXPO RICHMOND 2012 is just around the corner and preliminary interest is substantial. Numbers of pre-registrants for the show and companies exhibiting in the show have far surpassed Show Management's earlier projections. Attendee pre-registration has DOUBLED compared to the 2010 expo, while the number of exhibiting companies increases on a daily basis and is forecast to far exceed the 265 companies from 2010. It's no secret that the East Coast Sawmill and Logging Equipment Exposition (EXPO RICHMOND) has become America's leading trade show for the forest products industry. The exposition will offer the year's largest collection of sawmilling, kiln drying, harvesting, biomass, trucking, pallet manufacturing/recycling, optimization/scanning, material handling, firewood production and related equipment, supplies and services. While the attendee pre-registration deadline has passed, interested industry members can still attend (and pay the nominal $10.00 on-site fee). There are still a few indoor and outdoor exhibit spaces available, but potential exhibitors are encouraged to act quickly to secure a space. Attendees have the opportunity to compare their current equipment to the latest state-of-the-art, most technologically advanced equipment on the market. The extensive amount of equipment displayed, along with active product and machinery demonstrations both indoors and outdoors, provide the unique "hands-on" aspect of the Richmond show.

The exposition is co-sponsored by the Virginia Forest Products Association and the Cooperative Extension Service at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Attendee pre-registration forms will be available in late 2011/early 2012 in trade publications and direct-mail forms from the exposition office. On-line registration will also be available at that time. There will be no charge for any forest products industry member who pre-registers, and a small fee will be collected from on-site registrants.
